Genet sword made in the Kingdom of Granada, XV century. These swords original Al-Andalus, the territory of the Iberian Peninsula was under Muslim rule, were first weapons Zenetes cavalry, but as the reputation and technical riding with short stirrups, and the use of these weapons by Moors Iberian Christian kingdoms, or spoils of war, "began to be used by the most reputed nobles and warriors of the proto Spain of the Reconquista, his first appearances documented datándose not before the thirteenth century, and closing Christian use and manufacture by the fifteenth century and in Toledo.

Nazari handle a genet fourteenth or fifteenth century (MAN, Madrid).
