Russian pistol manufactured in Tula, the eighteenth century. In 1718 Tula was visited by Tsar Peter I the Great, who commissioned the Demidov family oligarchy build the first factory of war materials in Russia. Tula few decades later would become the working of the Demidov in metallurgical processing center largest in Eastern Europe.
